Morgan Freeman, Mark Zuckerberg And Yuri Milner Host The "Breakthrough Awards"

Particle physics might not be considered the most glamorous profession, but last night, physicists rubbed shoulders with Hollywood actors and award-winning singers.
Russian billionaire Yuri Milner handed out seven Breakthrough Prizes, for scientific accomplishment, worth $3 million (£2.36 million) each – three times the sum a Nobel winner receives.
This year, an additional $3 million (£2.36 million) ‘Special Breakthrough Prize in Fundamental Physics’ was also split between three founders and more than a thousand members of the LIGO team.
